Third Strand Baby Savannah

“It's been amazing to experience how the Lord has answered our prayers and provided Dave and me with His peace, hope, wisdom, and discernment. The Lord is already using this trial to learn and grow personally, as a mom, in our marriage, and family. Even on the tough days, I trust and have hope because I have experienced Romans 8:28, "He works all things out for the good of those who love Him," and have peace because, James 1:2-4 "the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

I was not seeking out ways to get donor breastmilk because donor breastmilk is only available to babies in hospitals, is very expensive, or is from non-vetted sources on the internet. I had simply accepted that I would transition to formula immediately following the surgery. The Lord helped my mind and heart accept this - especially since I nursed my previous baby for 14 months. Then, out of the blue this last week, my sister encouraged me to apply for Third Strand because her dear friend previously donated to Third Strand after losing her precious baby. I was deeply touched to learn about Kalee’s story and the creation of Third Strand. Kyle called me last week to let me know that because Third Strand has an abundance of milk right now, they can bless me with 1,000 ounces of milk - even though Savannah will be 6 months at the time of the surgery. I cannot fully express with words how overjoyed my heart was. This has truly been an example of Ephesians 3:21 (TPT) - “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.” This milk is more than I could’ve asked for or imagined. I wasn’t even praying for this! So thank you. Thank you to Third Strand. Thank you to each mother that is giving and blessing her own milk for my baby - whether it’s from a surplus or from tragedy. Thank you to the financial donors that make it possible to ship and receive this amazing milk nationwide. And thank you Lord for this incredible blessing.”
