My name is Kyle Joy. I am the founder and Director of Third Strand. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years, and we have two beautiful daughters - Avery and Harper.

I am a District Chief for the Amarillo Fire Department, where I have served for nearly 20 years. I enjoy hunting, fishing, Texas whiskeys, and the Texas Longhorns. However, most of my time is spent watching my oldest daughter cheer and my youngest daughter play basketball.

I founded Third Strand after the death of my little sister, Kalee Joy-Barton. Kalee passed away, unexpectedly, the night after she brought my newborn nephew home from the hospital. I was inspired by the selflessness and generosity of all the mothers who chose to help our family the only way they knew how - by donating milk.

I have discovered that God has a pretty good sense of humor... choosing a firefighter from West Texas to operate a breast milk organization! Although, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The people I have met and the stories that I have got to witness have become a daily inspiration to me.

Third Strand was created to be my little sister’s legacy. I pray, every single day, that we are able to bless families the same way that our family was blessed in our darkest days.
